Easter Chocolate Nests Recipe

How to Make Easter Chocolate Nests

Method

  1. Into a heat resistant bowl, break up the chocolate. Put the bowl over a pan of simmering water, make sure the bottom of the bowl doesn’t touch the water.
  2. Stir gently until the chocolate is melted. In another bowl, gently break up the chocolate digestive biscuits into very small pieces (almost crumbs or strands). Pour over the melted chocolate and stir to coat all the biscuit shreds.
  3. Slightly grease a 12-hole cupcake pan with a little butter (or very light spray of canola oil spray). Divide the mixture between the holes, gently pushing the mixture down into the tin with the back of a teaspoon.
  4. Put in the refrigerator to set. With a spoon, ease the nests out of the tin. Put on a serving dish, divide the eggs between the nests and serve.

Tip: You can choose to make a large white chocolate nest as a centrepiece. We used a small mixing bowl as our mould for this. Lay cling wrap into the bowl before adding in the chocolate, so it is easier to turn out. Use ALDI Mini Chicks to decorate your nests for Easter.
