Buying a Gift Card

How can I purchase a Gift Card?

We’re excited to offer Gift Cards at all ALDI stores within Australia. To buy a Gift Card, please visit your local ALDI store and a team member will be happy to help you out.  At this time, we do not sell Gift Cards online or over the phone.

What amounts can I purchase on a Gift Card?

ALDI Gift Cards are available in set denominations of $20 and $50.

Specialty Gift Cards can be purchased in various denominations. Please visit your local ALDI store to view our complete range of Specialty Gift Cards.

Can I add more value to a Gift Card?

No. ALDI Gift Cards cannot be reloaded.

What can I buy with my Gift Card?

The ALDI Gift Card can be used to purchase any items in store, including alcohol and Special Buys. However Gift Cards cannot be used to purchase other Gift Cards.

Can I bulk order Gift Cards?

If you would like to purchase a bulk Gift Card order, please contact our Customer Service team to place a special order.

Using a Gift Card

Where can I use my Gift Card?

ALDI Gift Cards may be used at any ALDI Store within Australia.

Can I use my Gift Card straight away?

ALDI Gift Cards are automatically activated at the time of purchase and will usually be ready for use immediately. However during peak times, please allow up to 48 hours before attempting to redeem or checking your balance.

Do I have to present the physical Gift Card to make a purchase?

Yes. The physical plastic ALDI Gift Card must be presented when making your purchase in store. A photo of the Gift Card on your electronic device, or a printed photocopy of the Gift Card will not be accepted.

Do I need to spend my Gift Card all at once?

No. You can use your Gift Card multiple times, as long as the balance on your Gift Card is in credit. If the transaction amount is less than the Gift Card amount, the remaining balance will stay on your Gift Card.

Do I receive change on a Gift Card transaction?

No change will be given for any remaining card value on your Gift Card. Any remaining card value may be applied to future transactions. Gift Cards should be discarded once all funds have been depleted.

Can I make a split payment using a Gift Card?

Yes. If the value of the purchase is greater than the balance on the Gift Card, you may use another acceptable payment method to supplement the remaining value of the transaction.

If you use a credit card as part of your payment, the 0.5% surcharge on credit card usage will apply to that portion of the payment. However you cannot use 3 different methods of payment in one transaction.

Are there terms & conditions that apply to Gift Cards?

Yes. A brief summary of the terms & conditions are printed on the back of the Gift Card.

Balance & Validity                                                                                      

How can I check my ALDI Gift Card balance?

You can check your ALDI Gift Card balance here. Your balance is also included in your proof of purchase every time you use your ALDI Gift Card. It is recommended that you check your balance each time before using your Gift Card.

Do Gift Cards expire?

As long as there’s card balance on your ALDI Gift Card, it will not expire.

Damaged, Invalid, Lost or Stolen Cards & Returns

Can I get my ALDI Gift Card replaced if it’s lost or stolen?

No. Your ALDI Gift Card should be treated like cash. Lost or stolen Gift Cards will not be replaced or refunded.

What can I do if my Gift Card is damaged?

If your ALDI Gift Card is damaged, please bring it along with your proof or purchase to your local ALDI store to be assessed by a team member. It is important that you read and understand the ALDI Gift Card Terms and Conditions of Use

Can I receive a refund for my ALDI Gift Card?

No. ALDI Gift Cards are non-refundable.
