Santa Pancakes and Snowman Hot Chocolate Recipe

How to Make Santa Pancakes and Snowman Hot Chocolate

Method

To make the pancakes

  1. Preheat non-stick frypan on medium heat. Lightly spray with canola oil spray, if required.
  2. As per instructions on White Mill Pancake Shake Mix pack, cook your pancakes (each approximately 15cm round).
  3. Arrange pancakes on plate to make the Santa face.
  4. Position the sliced bananas for beard. Add fresh raspberries for Santa’s hat and nose,
  5. Use the whipped cream to make Santa’s moustache. Add a dollop for the hat’s pom-pom.
  6. Add 2 choc bits for eyes.

To make the hot chocolate

  1. Cut 1 marshmallow in half. Take 1 half and turn, so top is facing up. Push through 1 pretzel stick and place marshmallow in centre. This is the middle of the snowman.
  2. Place full marshmallow on top for head.
  3. Turn last half of marshmallow on its side and place at other end for the bottom of snowman.
  4. Carefully melt chocolate in microwave-safe dish, in short bursts. Then place melted chocolate in pipping bag and pipe on face and buttons for snowman.
  5. Break remaining pretzels in half and use for arms and legs. Repeat for each snowman hot chocolate.
  6. Gently heat milk in a saucepan until warm. Add drinking chocolate and whisk until chocolate has dissolved.
  7. Pour into mug and sprinkle with extra drinking chocolate. Place snowman on top. Serve.
