Ingredients
- 1 cup Oh So Natural organic oats
- ½ cup Lyttos Greek style yogurt
- 2 dates, deseeded and chopped
- 1 tbsp Oh So Natural chia seeds
- 2 tbsp Brookdale maple syrup
- 1 cup Farmdale milk
- 1 tbsp Alcafe instant coffee granules
- 2 tbsp hot water
Whipped coffee:
- 1 tbsp Alcafe instant coffee granules
- 1 tbsp White Mill caster sugar
- 1 tbsp hot water
- 4-5 fresh blueberries, to serve
- 1 tsp Moser Roth dark chocolate, grated, to serve
Method
- Place dates in a mason jar, layer with oats, yogurt, chia seeds, maple syrup and milk.
- In a cup, combine coffee granules with 2 tablespoons of hot water. Let cool slightly and pour into
mason jar. Stir to combine. - Place a lid on the jar and refrigerate overnight.
- In the morning, make the whipped coffee. Place the instant coffee, sugar and hot water in a medium-sized bowl and whip with a hand whisk or small electric whisk. Whisk for 2-3 minutes until coffee is paler and thick in consistency.
- Spoon over the oats and top with a few blueberries and grated dark chocolate.
Tip: Electric whisk is much faster.
Optional: You can swap the order of layers top to bottom, say: coffee, milk, maple syrup, chia seeds, yogurt, oats and dates.
