Salmon Marinades
How to make Salmon Marinades

Whether zesty, creamy, or delicately sweet, these marinades are crafted to bring out salmon’s best. A few minutes is all it takes for the flavours to mingle, infuse and transform your dinner into something truly special.
1. Spice mix
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp The Olive Tree Australian extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for salmon
- 2 tsp lime juice
- 1 tsp Remano white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp Bramwells Australian honey
- 1 tsp finely diced, fresh red chilli
- 1 tsp finely chopped coriander
2. Yogurt and oregano
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Lyttos Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp The Olive Tree Australian extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Stonemill dried oregano
- 1 small clove garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp Bramwells Australian honey
- ½ tsp salt
3. Ginger and coriander
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp The Olive Tree Australian extra virgin olive oil
- Juice and zest of 1 orange
- 2 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 tbsp finely chopped coriander stalks and/or leaves
- ½ tsp Stonemill ground coriander
- ½ tsp salt
Option: Add lemon or lime zest for even more of a citrus flavour.
4. Dijon, garlic and thyme
Ingredients
- 2 tbsp The Olive Tree extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp Colway dijon mustard
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 tsp fresh thyme or rosemary leaves, finely chopped
- ½ tsp cracked black pepper
- ¼ tsp salt
5. Maple miso
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Hikari white miso paste
- 1 tbsp Brookdale pure maple syrup
- 2 tsp Asia Specialities soy sauce
- 1 tsp Remano white wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon finely grated ginger
6. Honey, soy and ginger
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Bramwells honey
- 1 tbsp Asia Specialities soy sauce
- 1 tbsp Stonemill sesame seeds, toasted
- 1 tsp Remano white wine vinegar
- 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
- 1 small clove garlic, grated
Method
- Mix or whisk the marinade ingredients together until smooth.
- Marinate salmon in mixture for 5-10 minutes before cooking.
Tip: Do not marinate the salmon for much longer than 5 minutes as the salmon will either start to cure or become mushy.
