Baked Pears with Honeyed Yogurt Recipe

How to make Baked Pears with Honeyed Yogurt

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (or 160°C fan-forced). Line a small baking dish with baking paper.
  2. Wash and cut the pears in half and gently scoop out the cores. Make slices lengthways, stopping 2cm short of the the top, so they stay intact. Gently fan out the slices and place in baking dish.
  3. Drizzle with the honey and dot with the butter. Bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Spread the yogurt onto 4 plates and top each plate with 2 pear halves. Drizzle with the pan juices and a little more honey. Sprinkle with the granola and serve.

Optional: You can swap the honey for maple syrup.

Tip: For a thicker yogurt base, strain the yogurt for an hour in a sieve, lined with a clean cloth or some kitchen paper. Discard the liquid and then serve.
