What capsules fit the Expressi System?

All capsules with a K-fee System logo will fit into your machine, irrespective of whether they are sold under the brand name of our retail partners or under the name Kruger. Please note that the use of other branded capsules can be harmful to your machine and void your warranty.

What is inside the capsules?

Every coffee capsule contains freshly ground, high-quality coffee which is individually aroma-sealed. That is why the coffee only unfolds its full aroma when it is actually prepared - a difference you will taste.  Each capsule also contains a coffee extraction filter which contributes to a full extraction of coffee particles for a more intense flavour.

Can I recycle my Expressi Capsules?

You can now participate in a recycling program for Expressi capsules with Terracycle. For information on the steps you need to take to participate in this program - see here

Or, please check with your local recycling authorities to ensure that it meets their standards. You will need to thoroughly remove all traces of coffee ground, which can then be placed in your compost or general waste.

Can the capsules be used several times?

K-fee System capsules are intended for one cup and should therefore not be used more than once. Remove K-fee System capsules from the spent-capsule container after preparing your hot drink.  If your preference is to brew a large cup of coffee, follow the ‘cup programming’ instructions in your machine manual to extend the large cup pour to at least 200mLs or alternatively raise the lever and dispense of the capsule and top your hot drink with hot water from the machine.

How should I store Expressi capsules?

You can keep K-fee Expressi capsules in their original box or in a container of your choice. They should always - as stated on the pack - be kept in a cool, dry place without direct exposure to heat or excessive temperatures.

How long does the coffee remain fresh in the capsules?

In our aroma-sealed capsules, the coffee stays fresh many times longer than in conventional coffee pads. Storing them in a cool, dry place helps retain optimum flavour during recommended shelf life. The best-before date is printed on the bottom of the box and on the side of the capsules.
