Our fresh Aussie Zucchini migration

As cool as a 100% Aussie grown zucchini.

We love supporting local growers. That’s why we have an Aussie first supplier policy, ensuring we source fresh produce from Aussie farms whenever we can. In fact, 97% of our fresh produce is proudly Australian grown.

From the farm to your table.

Zucchini migrate far and wide across Australia to our stores. We’ll always source the ones for your local store from as close as possible, to minimise transport time. Our low prices don’t mean they’re lower quality than other supermarkets. Our zucchini come from the same farms all over Australia, in places like Bowen in QLD, Shepparton in VIC, Riverland in SA and Gingin in WA.

Picking the perfect zucchini.

The zucchini should be firm with smooth, green skin.

Keeping your zucchini fresher for longer.

Store your whole zucchini in a slightly open paper or plastic bag in your fridge’s crisper. They should keep for 1-2 weeks.

How to cook it?

Try it roasted, grilled, steamed, boiled, fried or even raw.

The stealthy veggie.

Sneak some more veggies into your kids’ meals by hiding zucchini in chocolate cake or brownies. They won’t notice the zucchini, it will add more moisture to the baked goods without weighing down the batter.

Greener pasta.

Spiralised zucchini makes a great, low calorie alternate to pasta.

Meet our zucchini expertz

With three decades of ALDI experience under their belt, Hydro Produce’s continuing passion and commitment to feeding Australians fresh and tasty zucchini remains at the core of what they do. In the summer months, their zucchini is grown in Victoria and in winter, it’s grown in the warmer Queensland climate. This allows them to produce healthy crops year round, so they can keep ALDI families happy for more decades to come.
