“Deep, bold, bright and very youthful purple/red colour, with a fresh, young and pristine dark fruit aroma. The wine is fresh, young and fruit-driven, bold and almost essency on the palate. It has big, bold, ample flavour and plenty of supple tannins, which are soft but insistent and pleasantly mouth-coating. Richness, concentration and appealing texture. It’s approachable but youthful and will age happily for quite a time.”

“It is a typical Wolf Blass blend - shiraz 60%, cabernet sauvignon 40% - with fruit sourced from three different South Australian regions: the Barossa, McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. I thought the wine would be good value for $25-30, my wife went to $35.

“It has, dare I say it, smarter packaging than the regular Wolf Blass wines. This is a smooth, easy drinking number - and hard to stop at one glass. Medium-bodied. Soft, fruity but nicely layered, structured and well balanced with dark fruit to the fore, it stood up very well to a lamb and harissa pizza.”
