How to Make Korean Fried Cauliflower

Method:

  1. Mix the soy and sweet chilli sauces to make the dip, then set aside.
  2. Break up the cauliflower into florets.* 
  3. Heat 3cm of vegetable oil in a deep frying pan on medium heat.
  4. While the oil is heating, put the flour, baking powder and chilli powder into a bowl. Season with salt. Whisk in lime juice and water, to make the batter.
  5. Drop the cauliflower florets in the batter and then carefully into the hot oil.
  6. Fry in batches until brown and crispy. Drain on paper towel.
  7. Serve immediately. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve with the sweet chilli and soy dip.

 

*TIP: You can keep the cauliflower stalks to use in another dish. These can also be frozen for soup or vegetable stock.
