Dracula Blood Orange Slices Recipe

How to Make Dracula Blood Orange Slices

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 120°C (100°C fan-forced). Cut oranges into approximately 1cm wide slices.
  2. Place oranges on a rack, on a baking tray (if you place the oranges directly on the tray they will stick).
  3. Place oranges in the oven and leave for approximately 1 hour.* Check on them while cooking, especially when they start warming and drying. Turn regularly so they don’t stick.
  4. Once cooled, place in fridge for 10 minutes chill.
  5. Melt chocolate and dollop white chocolate in the centre of the slices, as the eyeball. Add a milk choc baking bit to the centre of each one.
  6. Place in fridge to set chocolate and serve.

*Tip: If you prefer, you can completely dry out your blood orange slices and use them for your Halloween decorations. Simply leave in the oven for 2-3 hours, turning regularly. Once cooled, add a ribbon and you can hang them as decorations.
