How to Make Leftover Christmas Turkey Tacos


  1. Add half of the oil to frypan. Add onions and cook on medium heat until translucent.
  2. Add garlic and stir until fragrant (do not burn).
  3. Add all the spices (cumin, oregano, paprika and cinnamon). Stir until fragrant (do not burn). If using sliced chillies, add to pan now.
  4. Add shredded turkey or turkey mince and stir until well combined, breaking up any chunks. Cook until shredded turkey is heated through or turkey mince is cooked through.
  5. Add can of tomatoes. Fill can with water, rinse and add half of the water to the mixture. Simmer and stir. Add more of the water as required, for the consistency you prefer. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  6. Take off the heat once all the liquid has evaporated (and turkey mince is cooked through).
  7. Fill tacos with turkey filling, black beans, lettuce and top with sour cream, grated cheese and any other toppings of your choice.
