Boiled Egg Sliders Recipe

How to make Boiled Egg Sliders

Method

  1. Hard boil the eggs (add eggs to cold water bring to boil and then boil for 8 minutes). Then plunge into cold water to cool them down.
  2. Gently peel the eggs once they reach room temperature. Cut in half lengthways and sprinkle the tops with toasted sesame seeds.
  3. For the tuna filling, mix the tuna and mayonnaise together. Place the tuna mixture on top of 2 of the egg bottoms. Add the cucumber and tomato slices, then top with the sesame-topped egg halves. Secure each ‘slider’ with a toothpick.
  4. For the ham filling, fold the ham slices in half, then half again to create a neat little bundle. Top the remaining egg bottoms with the ham, cheese, tomato and lettuce. Secure with toothpicks.
  5. Serve the ham and tuna ‘sliders’ straight away or pack into a lunchbox.

Tip: You can boil and refrigerate the eggs in their shells for up to 4 days ahead.

Optional: Experiment with other fillings, such as smoked salmon, chicken breast or turkey slices.
