How to make Chocolate Oatmeal

Method

  1. Combine the oats, milk, water and salt in a medium-sized saucepan. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Stir well, then cover and let cook, stirring occasionally until thickened – about 5-8 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile slice banana and pear thinly. Whisk coconut cream. Set aside.
  3. Add the cocoa powder, maple syrup and cinnamon to oats and stir though.
  4. Once cooked, assemble your bowl. Add chocolate oats. Top with coconut cream, sliced banana, pear slices, peanut butter (if using), nuts, cacao nibs and cacao powder.

Tip: You can also swap out the coconut cream with Greek yogurt; or replace almond milk with dairy or plant-based milk of your choice.
