Maple Almond Pizza with Nutty Chocolate Recipe

How to make Maple Almond Pizza with Nutty Chocolate

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (or 160°C fan-forced). On a large piece of baking paper, draw a heart that measures approximately 24cm x 24cm. Place this onto a flat baking tray.
  2. Place the pizza base ingredients into a mixing bowl and stir until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture into the middle of the heart and, using damp hands, gently flatten the mixture to create a heart shape. It can be trimmed to neaten, once cooked.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
  5. Meanwhile, make the chocolate spread by combining the cashew spread, maple syrup, coconut oil and cacao powder together and stirring until incorporated.
  6. Using a small knife or heart-shaped cutter, cut the strawberry slices into small hearts.
  7. Spread the chocolate spread over the base, leaving a little room for a tidy border.
  8. Top with the strawberry hearts and serve.

Tip: If making multiple pizzas, you can use a thick piece of cardboard to draw the heart. Cut it out to create a reusable template that can simply be traced onto baking paper.

Optional: Try topping with blueberries, raspberries or blackberries and a sprinkling of toasted coconut flakes.
