Why ALDI is partnering with Camp Quality

ALDI is passionate about helping Camp Quality improve the well-being of Australian children and their families, impacted by a cancer diagnosis.

Since launching our partnership in May 2020, ALDI, along with our employees, suppliers and customers have donated over $6.7 million to Camp Quality, enabling over 7,000 kids facing cancer to attend a Camp Quality recreational program, where they will get the chance to be kids again and create positive memories that can change their cancer story.

ALDI Australia is proud to partner with Camp Quality, to support their programs and services that help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun. Camp Quality is there for kids (0-15) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling, parent, or carer, every step of the way.  

We’re also proud to be the major partner of Camp Quality’s national fundraising programs, Big Ride For Little Kids and Big Walk For Little Kids, as well as delivering employee and customer programs to raise funds and awareness of the work of Camp Quality.

Camp Quality brings positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer. Their programs and services help families build optimism and resilience through community, education and fun. We are there for kids (0-15) dealing with their own cancer diagnosis, or the diagnosis of a sibling, parent, or carer, every step of the way. 

Camp Quality support 1 in 3 kids diagnosed with cancer through fun days, camps and getaways around Australia. In 2023, 12,902 kids and 5,823 families were registered for these programs and services, alongside over 800 Camp Quality volunteers who help bring positivity, fun and laughter back into the lives of kids facing cancer.

77% of children experienced improved self-confidence as a result of attending a camp.

89% of children said access to fun, exciting activities is a very valuable part of the camp experience.

September is Camp Quality Month

Get ready to help make a Good Difference this Camp Quality Month.

Whether it is purchasing specially themed Camp Quality Special Buys™, hitting the pavement (or treadmill) for Big Walk for Little Kids, wearing your bucket hat with pride, or making donations in-stores or online, September is jam-packed full of ways to help raise money for our national charity partner. 

Donate in store or online during September: During September, you can support Camp Quality by making a donation of $2 or more at the registers or online

Or you can participate in Big Walk for Little Kids, to support kids and their families facing cancer. Check back on this page for more information, and other ways we're supporting Camp Quality Month. 

ALDI will also be matching our customer donations, made at the registers or online, up to value of $100,000 throughout the month of September.

However you choose to help, every dollar and every purchase makes a good difference to kids and their families facing cancer.

Bucket Hat Day

Held on September 30 each year, Bucket Hat Day aims to shine a light on childhood cancer during Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

ALDI sold Bucket Hats, as part of their Camp Quality themed Special Buys™, to help raise money for Camp Quality. 

Don't have a Bucket Hat? You can still support Camp Quality by donating at registers in store or online, until 30th September.

Proudly supported by ALDI, Camp Quality’s Big Ride for Little Kids is a fun, virtual cycling challenge for all ages. During the month of March, participants can challenge themselves to ride 100km, 200km or 300km and fundraise for kids facing cancer.

Prefer walking to cycling? Camp Quality’s Big Walk for Little Kids is a nationwide walking challenge for all fitness levels. Walk your choice of 25km, 50km or 100km throughout September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.
