Spaghetti and Meatballs Recipe
How to make Spaghetti and Meatballs
Method
- In a bowl mix mince, garlic, fresh herbs, onion, salt and pepper. Combine well and place in the fridge for 15 minutes for flavours to develop.
- Roll approx 1 tablespoon of mince mix into balls. Heat fry pan to medium-high heat. Add oil. Add meatballs and cook, turning occassionally, for 6-8 minites or until cooked through. Remove meatballs from pan and place on kitchen paper to absorb excess oil.
- Drain the oil from the pan and wipe clean with kitchen paper. Add pasta sauce and beef stock and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Return meatballs to sauce. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly and season to taste.
- Cook spaghetti as per packet instructions. When cooked, place spaghetti on a plate and top with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with basil leaves.
