How to Make Asparagus and Chick Pea Hommus


  1. Peel and chop the garlic roughly. Rinse asparagus and trim the woody ends. Chop the rest of asparagus spears into chunks.
  2. Put the asparagus into some boiling, salted water along with the garlic and cook for approximately 4 minutes, then drain well and set aside. Keep 2 - 4 spears aside for garnish.
  3. Drain the can of chick peas and set aside.
  4. Remove leaves from coriander and roughly chop.
  5. Put the chick peas, asparagus, garlic, paprika, lemon juice, ground cumin, seed mix, coriander and olive oil into a food processor. Season with salt and pepper. Blitz until well ground.
  6. Add the hommus to a serving bowl. Top with asparagus spears. Serve with lemon wedges and toasted pieces of pita bread.
